Design Firm Offers Free Info On Small Business Grants
Dayton, OH February 23, 2004--The endless search for small business grants is over. Today, Cypher Signature Design Group (CSDG), a new media design and marketing firm, launches a special program for new business owners interested in developing a web site and obtaining financing through small business grants. The program, named for the firm's slogan, is simply titled the "Step Forward Start-Up Program".
According to the Small Business Administration (sba.gov), approximately 28% of business owners are forced to file bankruptcy due to the lack of financing. "Financing is a major obstacle for entrepreneurs looking to start their business. However, what these new entrepreneurs lack in capital can be made up in the awareness of available resources," said Rhonda Winn, Creative Director for CSDG.
"The program is a great opportunity for those looking to start a business. Our program includes many resources, including a free report on small business grants. Starting a business without all the risk has never been easier." The program also includes a consultation with business owners in order to develop a business plan, web site development and marketing, and The Small Biz Startup Kit Version 2.0 (SBSK). The SBSK is a resource within itself as it includes 500 pages of small business research and resources, a CD-ROM, and special offers and materials for small business owners. For information on the SBSK, visit the official site at http://smallbizstartupkit.com.
"Many people believe launching a new business is too risky. And rightfully so. Over half of small businesses fail within the first year. And over 95% of new small businesses fail within the first five years. Those are awfully bleak statistics. In order to overcome them, small business owners should take invest their time and effort researching available tools and resources that are often free or low in cost," Winn stated recently. She refers to the Small Business Administration as the source of her data. "The overwhelming odds of small business failure is the primary reason we developed this program. There is no reason for people interested in small business to forego entrepreneurship because they believe they don't have enough money or time."
The Small Business Administration has conducted several studies on small business startup costs. On the research portion of the SBA.gov web site it states that "…the median amount of funds that solo entrepreneurs thought they needed to launch a venture was $6000. The median amount that team ventures expected to need was $20,000." The "Step Forward Start-Up Program" can be joined for under $200.
